Blooming marvelous displays expected at Whissendine Flower Festival

The much loved Whissendine Flower Festival will once again be held over August bank holiday weekend, with this year’s theme of ‘music we love’.

The festival will be in aid of St Andrews Church, and will feature beautiful displays of flower arrangements which will depict music in many of its forms, from church music and classical, through to traditional and popular.

There will be a preview evening held tonight, with tickets costing £7 each, to include a glass of wine and canapes.

From Saturday, through to Bank Holiday Monday, the church will be open each day from 10 am. Admission will be free of charge.

Stewards will be on hand at the church to answer any questions that visitors may have.

Refreshments will also be available throughout the weekend at Whissendine Village Hall.
