Stamford fairs and markets through the ages charted in new book by local historian

A new book has taken an in-depth look at how Stamford has celebrated through the ages and traces the origins of one our most popular events.

Stamford Fairs and Markets is the product of almost two decades of research by local historian Keith Hansell.

The idea for the book was sparked when Keith was approached to give a talk on the subject by a local Women's Institute group.
