Book tickets for inspirational Spotlight on Science evening at Bourne’s Cancer Research UK shop

Supporters of Cancer Research UK will get a unique chance to meet the ‘Living Legends’ behind the research at an inspirational ‘Spotlight on Science’ evening tonight at the charity’s Bourne shop.

The event – the first of its kind in the region – will take place at Cancer Research UK’s Burghley Centre, Hereward Street, store from 4pm to 6pm.

Featuring a series of fascinating talks and demonstrations about the progress and contributions of Cancer Research UK scientists, the event will include a number of interactive activities to demonstrate the complexities of this important research.

There will also be a guest talk from Peterborough ambassador, Sue Dunthorne, who survived Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and special guest Laura Mears, from the charity’s Science Communications team highlighting the latest advances and technologies.

Regional legacy manager Rebecca Baguley will also be answering questions on how this invaluable research is funded.

To book a place just pop into the store, call Rebecca on 01778 423706 or e-mail Rebecca.
