Bourne Festival returns for 2019
A popular festival that will raise money for local charities and good causes is returning this summer .
The 17th Bourne Festival will be held at The Wellhead Park between June 7 and 9, featuring great music, food, drink and activities for all the family.
Phil Heslop, media officer for organisers Bourne and District Round Table, said: “I’ve only been a member of the Round Table for about a year now but this event has got bigger and bigger every year.
“It’s one of the bed rocks of the town now because it’s so well established.
“I think last year, we had several thousand come along to the festival so it’s very well supported by people in the town.
“We sell most of our tickets on the day and we’re expecting at least 5,000 this year.
“The money we raise will go towards local good causes and charities that the Round Table support.
“We’re pushing Sunday evening this year.
“We’ve got the Ultra 90s performing who have quite a big following.
“Sunday evening was traditionally a tribute act evening and this year, we are going back to that and that will be on at 5pm.
“Across the whole weekend, we’ve also got 65 ales and 25 ciders.”
Headlining on the Friday evening will be The Great Pretenders, Revolver on Saturday with Ultra 90s closing the festival on Sunday.
Tickets are available on the gate and cost £3 per day, £5 for the weekend and under 11s are free.
