Bourne man arrested after police injured in Peterborough




A 28 year-old man from Bourne has been arrested after four police officers suffered minor injuries following a disturbance in Peterborough city centre last night (December 19).

Cambridgeshire Police were called to the College Arms in Broadway at around 5.50 pm after reports of a man being violent towards staff.

During the incident, three Cambridgeshire officers and a British Transport Police officer suffered minor injuries.

The man was arrested on suspicion of multiple assaults and taken to Peterborough City Hospital.

He will be brought to custody when appropriate.
