Sister companies, Boss Cabins and Heimdall UK, based in Bourne, are seeking a well-earned ‘double’ having both been nominated for a celebrated industry award.

The firms have been shortlisted for this year’s Made in the Midlands Awards, run by Insider.

Boss Cabins, which specialises in the design, manufacture and marketing of road towable products, is one of seven companies shortlisted in the Small and Medium Enterprises Company of the Year category. Since 2010, the company’s professional and skilled craftsmen have been using the latest design software to build high-end, cost-effective mobile welfare cabins and associated towable products.

Speaking of Boss Cabins’ nomination, Graham Stansfield, who manages the firm alongside Matthew Wordsworth and Tim Allan, said: “To be shortlisted for such a prestigious award is testament to the fantastic success of the great product we produce and the hard work of all our staff.”

Heimdall UK, producer of the world’s most advanced lighting towers, is among five companies vying for the Made in the Midlands Manufacturing Innovation Award.

Joint managing director, Matthew Wordsworth of Boss Cabins and Heimdall UK, said: “It’s incredibly exciting to feature in the awards. Whatever the outcome, we’re all so proud to have earned this nomination.”

The awards will take place on May 11 in Birmingham.
