Brazenose Lane crossroads in Stamford to close for repairs

The A1175 crossroads at the top of Brazenose Lane in Stamford will close for resurfacing on Monday.

Repairs will begin at 6pm and will continue overnight. Lincolnshire County Council said the crossroads would reopen the following morning.

Area highways manager Kevin Brumfield said: “Closing this junction during the day would cause a lot of congestion in the town centre, so we will be working through the night to improve its surface.

“We have let local residents know that unfortunately there will be some noise from our equipment but we will working hard to prevent any disturbance past midnight.

“We’ll also take the opportunity replace the road markings and carry out some minor works for Anglian Water to save us having to close the junction again.”
