Alan Titchmarsh visits The Old Vicarage in Burley for ITV show Love Your Garden
A well-known television presenter called by to film a stunning village garden for an ITV show.
Alan Titchmarsh toured the gardens at The Old Vicarage, in Burley, for a recent episode of Love Your Garden.
The green-fingered expert visited the Rutland garden to provide inspiration for a sensory garden he was designing for a Sheffield family.
He described it as a ‘breathtaking garden, packed with sensory inspiration’ and ‘a real feast for the senses’.
The country garden, which was a finalist in The English Garden’s, The Nations Favourite Gardens in 2019, will be open to the public on Sunday, from 11am to 5pm, as part of the National Garden Scheme open days.
Features include a sunken rill garden with an avenue of wisteria, a lime walk, fabulous roses, two orchards, as well as a productive walled garden with fruit, herbs, vegetables and cut flowers.
It is also opening on Wednesday, June 28 for an evening opening from 5pm to 8.30pm.

Tickets are £6, with free admission for children.
Home-made cakes and tea will be served, and a plant stall will be available, with all proceeds going to the National Garden Scheme which is pledging all of the money raised to nursing and healthcare charities.
