Police are hunting for burglars who broke into a college.

The break-in happened at New College Stamford in Drift Road at about 2.45am on Friday, August 21. A spokesman for the college said the burglars got into the estates department through the part of the college that is currently under construction.

“They weren’t able to take anything significant,” she said.

The college uses BusinessWatch, an off-site security firm, which sent a patrol over as soon as an alarm was set off. The burglars ran away while a search was being carried out.

The college spokesman said police were looking at CCTV images.

If you saw anything or have any information, call police on 101 quoting incident 56 of August 21.
