Burst pipe leads to water shortage around Uppingham

By Dave Gooderham

Water supplies are back to normal in the Uppingham area after a burst pipe was fixed.

The pipe burst near Lyddington yesterday morning (Wednesday, October 7) and engineers from Severn Trent Water rushed to the scene trying to fix it. Originally the water supply problems were thought to have been as a result of a power outage affecting our boosters. But engineers quickly found the burst pipe, which was the reason for the problems.

Supplies were fully restored by 7pm
