A BUS service linking two towns with rural villages is being withdrawn.

The 180 Mark Bland Travel bus between Stamford and Oundle will stop from today.

The service, which also stops in Wothorpe, Easton-on-the-Hill, Colyweston, Duddington, King’s Cliffe, Apethorpe and Woodnewton, runs three times a day from Stamford at 12.15pm, 1.50pm and 4.45pm.

It sets off in the other direction from Oundle at 9.15am and from West Street, King’s Cliffe, at 12.52pm.

The service withdrawal is listed on the Northamptonshire County Council website but a reason for stopping it has not been given.
