Bourne restaurant Sassi's reports deliberate damage to delivery vehicle




A restaurant's delivery vehicle is thought to have been deliberately damaged twice in one night.

Sassi's Thai Restaurant staff told police their vehicle was shunted forwards by about four feet each time on Friday evening, damaging the bumper and tailgate.

Police will be reviewing CCTV footage but have appealed for witnesses.

Inspector Rachel Blackwell, of Bourne police, said the vehicle involved in the alleged incident is thought to be either blue or white.

She added: "Later that evening, the restaurant staff reported feeling intimidated by a group of youths hanging about in the car park."

The restaurant is based in South Street, Bourne.

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident 503 of August 2 for the damage or 510 for the intimidation.
