FIFTY customers lost their water supply for more than two hours yesterday (Sunday) while a leak was repaired.
A leak in West Street, Stamford, was reported to Anglian Water on Thursday and assessors looked at the damage on Friday.
To minimise disruption to traffic, the work to repair the leak was carried out yesterday (Sunday).
About 50 customers in the area lost their supply between midday and 2.30pm.
Water was spotted gushing from a drain in West Street at about 2pm but a spokesman said this would have been a process called “flushing” to make sure the water supply was clean.
He apologised to anyone who was inconvenienced by the work.
