AN AUCTIONEER will take bids on a historic set of radio equipment.

Peaker Pattinson, based in Aunby, is selling equipment from the BBC World Service’s former studio in Bush House, London.

The station relocated last month after 70 years in the building.

Chairman and senior auctioneer at Peaker Pattinson, Calvan Player, said: “We are privileged to have been selected by the BBC World Service to handle this sale.

“This is a most exciting online auction of broadcasting equipment and memorabilia.”

Bidding for the second phase of items, which includes broadcast studios, mixing desks, microphones, speakers, headphones and much more, closes from September 18.
