SHOPPERS braved the rain to browse stalls at a craft market.
Stamford Artisans Guild held the event at Stamford Arts Centre yesterday (Sunday).
All sorts of homemade crafts and gifts were on sale and organisers were pleased with the turnout.
Guild chairman Shalini Austin said: “It was steady and there were a lot of people.
“It wasn’t as busy as the one we held at the same time last year but the weather wasn’t exactly brilliant.
“Personally I had a great day and I know other stall holders were pleased.
“The most important thing for us was that people were asking when we were coming back. People are forward planning and that is a good sign.”
The guild is planning four Christmas markets in November and December, with stall holders busy preparing decorations, cards and festive gifts.
