Cafe gets licence

A CAFE has been granted a new licence for outdoor seating.

Lincolnshire County Council has given Cafe Black in High Street, Stamford, permission to place chairs and tables outside the front of the shop.

The cafe’s licence ran out in July last year and the council refused to renew it, saying the cafe had breached conditions by placing seating on the High Street outside the hours of 10am and 4pm.

Cafe owners Hannah Darby and Jim Harding were also involved in a row with South Kesteven District Council over planning permission for a canopy, which they have since taken down.
