Jobseeking just got easier with the launch of an online careers fair.
The Mercury’s parent company Johnston Press has opened registration for its Jobstoday virtual careers fair.
The fair is an online platform where employers can showcase their business and tell jobseekers about their vacancies.
It will run from February 18 until March 1 and several leading businesses have already joined up, including Ikea and Victoria’s Secret.
Johnston Press group category manager Joanne Harwood said: “We previously ran two very successful virtual careers fairs last year focusing on the healthcare and customer service and sales sectors, so we are extremely keen to help candidates and employers connect again all over the country.
“This time we’re running a national fair to include all sectors and businesses so that we are able to offer something for everyone.
“The fair will help great employers connect to local job seekers who are really committed to finding a new job and vice versa.
“We wish everyone the best of luck.”
Anyone interested in the fair is encouraged to sign up for free at www.virtualcareerevent.com/jtuk to ensure they are guaranteed entry from February 18.
The pre-registration process will ensure that only the most motivated job seekers attend the fair, while guaranteeing registrants entry to the event.
