A roofing firm has won yet another award for its heritage work.
Collyweston slate specialist Claude N Smith was awarded a merit for excellence by the National Home Improvement Council.
The firm, based in Collyweston, was nominated by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors for its work on a roof on The Laurels in Stilton, near Peterborough.
Owner Nigel Smith said: “With other big name finalists present at these awards gives the scale of this award that our skilled craftsman have achieved.”
Nigel and his father Claude are pictured above receiving the award from National Home Improvement Council director Frank Whitefoot and MP for Greenwich and Woolwich Nick Raynsford.
Earlier this year the firm won the prize for best heritage project at the Roofing Awards 2014 for its work on the Laurels.
The owners of the Grade 2 listed building, which dates back to 1760, asked for the front and rear elevations to be re-tiled in hand-dressed Collyweston slate.
