A Post Office branch will reopen after a refurbishment with longer opening hours.
The counter at Londis shop in West End, Langtoft, will offer Post Office services for an extra 61 hours a week from January 16.
People will be able to use the counter during the store’s open hours, which are 6.30am to 9pm Monday to Friday, and 7am to 9pm Saturday and Sunday. The shop closes at 8.30pm during the winter.
Post Office area manager James Doran said: “We know how important Post Office services are to residents in the area and we are confident this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the community in Langtoft will be popular.
“The modernisation is part of a major Government investment programme that is enabling us to continue investing in the Post Office network and to map out a bold growth strategy through to the end of the decade.”
The Post Office counter currently does not open on Sunday and Saturday afternoon, and also closes for lunchtime.
When it reopens customers will be able to access a range of Post Office and mails services, including special delivery, local collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals.
Other services include withdrawals using a Post Office card account, sending funds abroad using Moneygram, paying bills, pre-ordering travel money, applying for travel insurance and topping up mobile phones.
The Langtoft branch will need to close temporarily for refurbishment from 5.30pm on Tuesday. Customers can access Post Office until January 16 services at Baston post office, in Main Street, and Market Deeping post office, in Church Street.
