TWO mums have joined forces to launch a new business selling children’s second-hand clothes.

Gaynor Medwell and Rachel Murphy have launched Theo and Maisie Togs for Tots after giving up high-flying careers to start a family.

They met through local NCT classes 17 months ago and decided to combine their business skills to run a series of second-hand children’s clothing sales. Their first sale was held on Saturday.

Former Stamford resident Gaynor, who now lives in Peterborough, said: “Theo and Maisie Togs for Tots will specialise in quality used designer and branded baby and toddler clothing.

“It will be a purse-friendly way to shop for your child and enables people to earn some extra money from their used children’s clothes.”

The entrepreneurs plan to hold monthly events to sell second-hand clothing on behalf of parents and take a 40 or 50 per cent share of the proceeds depending on whether the sellers deliver the clothes themselves or take advantage of the collection service available.

Gaynor added: “Our prices are competitive and realistic.

“It is a great and simple way to dispose of your children’s clothing whilst earning extra money and to update your child’s wardrobe at the same time, which is perfect in this economic climate.”

Details of future sales will be published at
