A FORMER Casterton Community College pupil will grace the small screen in a new spin-off of Inspector Morse.

James Bradshaw, 35, has a role in Endeavour, a one-off television movie about Morse’s life as a rookie policeman in Oxford which will air at 8.30pm on Monday on ITV.

James, who lives in London and starred in the 2001 series The Grimleys, plays pathologist Dr Max De Bryn in the new show.

His parents Margaret, 65, and Colin, 67, of Arran Road, Stamford, will be watching and hope the programme gets a positive reception.

Margaret said: “If it is successful it could become a series.”

Endeavour is written by Russell Lewis, who penned episodes of Morse and its spin-off series Lewis, and is based on a short story by Morse’s creator Colin Dexter. The show is called Endeavour after the sleuth’s first name.
