An entrepreneur who has come up with an innovative idea for a new loyalty app is calling on the people of Stamford to help make his launch a success.

The new app ‘Loyaltybook’, approved by Apple, is the vision of Stamford resident Nimon Davey, 33, who wanted to create a user-friendly app that houses all loyalty reward cards in one place.

The exciting new mobile app that is set to be launched in the heart of Stamford on Friday next week, is a free app that will be available to download on the Apple store, providing customers with a new platform to engage with their favourite businesses and brands whilst being rewarded.

Nimon, who set up Loyaltybook in September, said: “I wanted to solve the problem after having a wallet full of paper loyalty stamp cards from a variety of my favourite shops.

“I thought there must be a clever way to make this digital. So with no experience what-so-ever I came up with a concept and it just grew from there.”

After meeting with a number of app developers, Nimon joined forces with two developers from Cambridge, David McGarry and Sam Patel and Loyaltybook was created.

Nimon and his team set about developing the mobile loyalty app which enables users to digitally stamp their phone with unique codes provided by their favourite shops and businesses.

Businesses from around Stamford have already signed up to be a part of the launch including Zorbas, Stamford Photo Express, Stamford Delight, The 8848 and The London Inn. Some national businesses have also shown an interest.

Owner of The London Inn, Nick Pistolas said: “I’m excited to be on board as one of the first businesses to use the new app.

“It’s a great idea and we’re looking forward to the launch.”

Nimon, who is a former business student from New College Stamford, currently runs his own financial business in Stamford.

He said: “This is an idea that could really make it big and I’m hoping that if it’s successful in Stamford then it can become a national app.”

The Loyaltybook app can be downloaded on the Apple store or with Google Play from April 17.

Once downloaded you can register your details to receive rewards which are tailored to you.

You can then select your favourite places with ‘My Loyaltybook’ – by scrolling through the list of loyalty programmes and add your favourite places to start building rewards and discounts.

When you use the app you will be given a unique code by the retailer which you then scan with the app to stamp your loyalty card.

With every scan you get a digital scratch-card within the app to win instant rewards.

To redeem your awards you simply present your phone to the retailer who will enter a unique four digit code to authorise the reward.
