Stamford pub has closed and due to be turned into offices

TIME has been called on a pub in Stamford town centre.

The Scotgate, owned by Punch Taverns, is believed to have closed today and the building could be converted into offices.

Plans have been submitted to South Kesteven District Council by Richard Taylor, of D Squared Holdings Ltd, to change the use of the building from a pub to offices.

A message on the pub’s answer phone states: “Unfortunately we are no longer trading under The Scotgate due to the brewery selling the building.”
