TRADERS are being called upon to get involved in plans for Christmas.

Miss Hawley-Smith said lots of traders and exhibitors have already booked trade stalls. She said: “This amazing community events offers a funfilled and action packed day for the whole community and its visitors to enjoy, providing opportunities for shopping from 150 traders and an immense entertainment line up.”

Gordon Cochran, of Gordon’s Photographic in North Street, Bourne, has planned the get-together for the town’s traders at Julie’s Cafe in the Burghley Centre on Monday at 6pm.

Bourne Town Council has already arranged for the Christmas light switch-on to take place in the Corn Exchange car park with music from schools on Friday, November, 25. There will also be a grotto and more.

But Mr Cochran wants more festivities planned.

He said: “I’ve had people ask me if I’m going to be involved in Christmas plans this year, which is why I’ve decided to organise this meeting.”
