Rutland village enjoys fete success

Saturday’s Caldecott Village Fete was another success despite some bad weather.

Crowds packed the popular attraction, held at and around the village hall, off the Main Street, on Saturday

One of the organisers, June Gower, confirmed a successful event despite ‘inclement’ weather, helped by a variety of traditional stalls and games, a bar and afternoon tea.

A newand much-loved attraction, was Andy the Circus Skills man, who performed many entertaining and enjoyable acts. The Gretton Silver Band was another winner.

June added: “We have had many comments about how nice the fete was. It was a really good afternoon to help support the church and the village hall.”
