Arts for Rutland adult exhibition returns to Rutland County Museum in Oakham

Artists are gearing up for a popular exhibition which will be staged this summer.

Arts for Rutland has released details of its adult open art exhibition at Rutland County Museum in Oakham.

Organisers will accept paintings, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, ceramics, glass, textiles and jewellery.

Arts for Rutland chairman Joy Everitt said: "We are so pleased that we are able once more to showcase our talented artists at the museum.

"We encourage them to bring their masterpieces and let Rutland celebrate all their great artistic endeavour."

Artists and designers can submit up to three pieces of work, with an entry fee of £5 per item.

They must be delivered to the museum on Saturday, August 20 between 10am and 3pm for judges to select entries for the show and prizewinners.

The exhibition will run from Saturday, August 27 until Saturday, October 1 with all items available to purchase.

A preview evening will take place on Friday, August 26 when the High Sheriff and Lord Lieutenant of Rutland will present prizes.
