Cycling UK campaign group backs call for Anglian Water to reopen Rutland Water paths

A cyclist's pleas for paths around Rutland Water to be reopened for commuters has attracted the backing of a national campaign group.

Barbara Spalek from Morcott regularly used paths along the west side of the reservoir, between Manton and Oakham, but since they were closed by Anglian Water to prevent the spread of coronavirus, she and other cyclists have had to use the busy Uppingham to Oakham road instead.

Campaign group Cycling UK has written to Anglian Water asking them to reconsider the decision to close the paths.
