One person was taken to hospital after a car and lorry crashed on the A6003 at Manton.

The accident happened shortly before 2pm today (Thursday, December 17). Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene and at least one person had to be cut out of the car.

Police said one person was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with injuries that were “not thought to be life-threatening”.

The road was closed for about half an hour, and one lane remained closed until just before 4pm.

The crash comes just over a week after a fatal accident on the same stretch of road. Read more: Tributes to Rutland Army man who died in A6003 crash.
