12pm: An electrical fault caused a car to catch fire outside a doctors surgery.
The car went up in flames in the car park of St Mary’s Medical Centre in Wharf Road, Stamford, at about 11am today (Tuesday). A fire crew was called and put out the blaze by 11.30am.
The car’s owner was in the surgery and was unhurt.
Wharf Road is closed to traffic heading east while the crew checks over the car.
