Car crashes into house in Church Street, Deeping St James

A family have had their house crashed into for the second time in two years.

At about 11.40pm on Wednesday a silver Vauxhall Corsa hit the wall of the property in Church Street, Deeping St James.

Vicky Waterland was at home with her partner and two children when she heard the impact.

“I was still up but fortunately I was in the middle of the house and the children were upstairs in bed,” she said.

Both Vicky and a next-door neighbour went outside to see if the occupants of the car were all right.

The passenger of the car had minor injuries while the driver fled the scene.

The police were called and are understood to have used a drone to search for the driver. Their search for him is still ongoing.

Anyone with information should call Lincolnshire Police quoting incident 495 of April 21.
