Tallington Lodge Care Home host their summer fair and open day for 2019

Residents at a village care home will be able to continue to go on days out and to see shows thanks to a summer fair.

Tallington Lodge Care Home held their annual summer fair and open day on Saturday afternoon.

Diane Williams, the lead activities coordinator, said: “It went very, very well actually.

"The whole day was really good fun.

“We raised £400 for the residents’ comfort funds and the residents really enjoyed the fair.

“The fund pays for trips and visits to shows and things like that really.

"We do try and give them something extra special at the fund helps us with that.

"I would like thank the fabulous Tallington Team and also everybody who came along to support us."

A wide array of activities were on offer including a cake stand, henna tattoos, stocks, games and refreshments.

There was also a tombola, barbecue and strawberries and cream.

It also gave people a chance to look round the home.
