A cash machine could be installed at the public toilets in Uppingham.

Uppingham Town Council is considering taking over the management of the facilities in Market Place.

The building is currently owned and maintained by Rutland County Council.

Planning permission has already been granted for the scheme if the two councils agree to go ahead with the exchange of responsibility.

A decision will be made by the town council as its meeting on Tuesday next week.
