Cash stolen from Wilko in Westgate Street, Oakham

A town shop was targeted in a burglary.

Police were called to Wilko in Westgate Street, Oakham at 10.45pm on Thursday (July 14) following a report of a burglary.

Officers attended but the suspect had left the scene before they arrived.

It was later discovered that a quantity of cash had been stolen.

Investigations into the incident are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact police, quoting reference 22*406937.
