Father Simon Gillespie of St Mary and St Augustine Parish in Stamford is moving on after seven years.

From mid-September he will be working in the parish of Our Lady of Victories, Southwell, with Saint Anthony, Calverton, in Nottinghamshire.

Father Simon said: “It’s quite normal for the Bishop, who has asked me to move, to ask his clergy to move from parish to parish periodically, usually within the same diocese. We’re in Nottingham Diocese.
