Charity curry lunch raises £250 for ABF The Soldiers Charity

A COUPLE from Oakham entertained guests at their annual charity curry lunch which raised more than £250 for a good cause.

Carol and Paul Beech, of Welland Way hold the event every year to raise funds in aid of ABF The Soldiers Charity.

Guests were treated to a two course meal from a menu which included chicken madras, lamb rogan josh and vegetable biryani, along with naan breads and side dishes.

The meal was followed by a host of Carol’s special desserts.

Paul is a committee member of the Leicestershire and Rutland branch of ABF The Soldiers Charity. The charity offers lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers and their families.

The marquee for the lunch was provided by Jayne and Mark Woodcock of Rutland Garden Marquees of Oakham.

All the food was prepared and cooked by Carol and Paul.
