Homeless people at the YMCA Time Stop shelter in Peterborough were fed by the chefs of No. 3 Mobile Catering Squadron from RAF Wittering on Monday.

The YMCA Time Stop shelters help young people who have been forced into homelessness by providing immediate access to accommodation and food. Each young person is assigned a caseworker who helps them move forward with their lives in a positive way.

The YMCA Time Stop shelter in Peterborough has been open for 24 years, providing a place to stay for young adults from 16 to 25 years old. Karen Milford is the manager said: “It’s always nice for the young people to know that the community and the Royal Air Force are thinking of them.”
