Children from two Rutland primary schools joined forces for an incredible “Dance into Science” morning, which was led by Sarah Bell from Edge Dance.

Edith Weston Primary School hosted the morning for Key Stage 2 children, being wowed by the Edge Dance group as they performed an original insight into magnets, states of matter, light and shadows and electricity. The children were joined by others from Exton and Greetham Primary School, along with their head teacher Megan Davies.

The children in Years 3 and 4 from both schools worked together to create group dances based upon the theme of recycling; making movements to crush cans! Those in Years 5 and 6 created a dance around the subject of materials.

“The children were enthused to create dances around science and work with children from another school,” said Vicky Redshaw, a teacher at Edith Weston Primary School.
