The Glebe Singers celebrate their 20th anniversary

A choir has celebrated 20 years of entertaining people from all over the area.

The Glebe Singers, who are based in Market Deeping, marked their anniversary year with performances at places including Burghley House at Twilight, St John’s Church in Barnack and the Peterborough Music Society.

They also visit care homes to entertain the residents and raise money for charities.

The Glebe Singers meet at Market Deeping Community Primary in term time from 7.30pm to 9pm each Wednesday.

Their repertoire is wide and varied, from songs from shows to sacred eastern European choral music.

A future concert will be based on British choral music.

A spokesman for the choir said: “If you think that 2020 may be the year for you to join a local choir and enjoy all the associated benefits, Glebe Singers would love you to come along and find out what the choir is all about.”
