Thurlby Methodist Church is celebrating 100 years of being in its present building in High Street.

On Saturday next week, there will be an exhibition running from 10am to 5pm, of past memorabilia, present activities and future plans of the church.

The display will include many landmarks in the history of the church and Methodism in the village, including photographs, videos, programmes and posters.

The church invites everyone to come along to the celebrations and food will be available all day.

A special anniversary thanksgiving service will be held at 10.30am on Sunday. It will be led by the Rev Ian White, a past president of the Methodist Conference. This will be followed by a celebration lunch. To book a place at the meal call Eileen Fytche on 01778 590430.
