Bourne Classic Car and Bike Show takes place on June 16
Celebrate Fathers’ Day (June 16) at a popular annual event in Bourne’s summer calendar.
Bourne Classic Car And Bike Show promises a great family day with 300-plus vintage vehicles, buses and bikes, live music, craft stalls, fairground rides and lots more.
Bourne Motor Racing Club created the Bourne Classic Car and Bike Show 10 years ago to celebrate the town’s motor-racing heritage. However, in 2015 the club announced that they would no longer be able to organise the Classic Car Show and it was taken over by the Bourne Events Team.
The Carnival offers a vast selection of vintage and classic cars and bikes to admire across Red Hall Gardens and the Wellhead Park. There will be 1940s music and dancing by the Blizz Crew at the Red Hall and a variety of entertainment for all ages and tastes, including: live music and dance displays; fairground rides; stalls and food on West Street into the South Street car park and the Wellhead.
Several of the shops, cafes and restaurants will be open in the town and there will be a shopping event featuring a variety of stalls along with refreshments in aid of Help For Heroes from 10.30am to 5pm at Bourne Corn Exchange.
Delaine Bus Museum on Spalding Road will also be open from 11am to 4pm. Free heritage shuttle buses will run every 20 minutes between the Museum and the town centre.
The Carnival runs from 10am to 4pm and admission is free.
