Clothing sale to be better than ever
A men’s clothing sale is set to be bigger and better than ever this year - and will kick off the popular annual good and new sale for women.
For any men looking to update their wardrobe, the men’s sale will take place at 33 Pillings Road in Oakham, tomorrow from 5pm to 8pm, and on Saturday, from 9am to 1pm.
Entry is free and there are some great bargains to be had for high quality new and nearly new clothes, including dinner suits, ski wear, designer clothing, beach wear, country clothes, shoes, bags and ties. Cash and cheques will be accepted - no card payments.
The men’s sale has grown in popularity year-on-year as a spin-off from the good and new sale which raises thousands of pounds for good causes.
It will be followed next weekend with the popular good and new clothes sale - offering women’s clothing and accessories, as well as items for all the family.
That event takes place at Barnsdale Lodge and starts with a preview event on Friday, March 3, running from 5pm to 8pm.
Tickets are £15, which includes a complimentary glass of Champagne and canapés from Hambleton Hall. These can be obtained by calling 01572 724400 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
It will continue on Saturday, March 4, running from 8.30am to 1pm. Entry on the door is £5.
All proceeds from the sales will go to the For Rutland charity, which pays for specialist advisors based at Citizens Advice Rutland, who provide free, confidential and non-medical advice to people living with long-term conditions.
Caroline Hammond, from the For Rutland fundraising committee, said: “The good and new sale has always started with the men’s sale, a unique shopping experience for men, which is no fuss, a quick shop, with incredible value.
“Every year it has become a bit bigger and more popular and this year it is packed with great selection of dinner suits, shirts, office and outdoor wear.
“We are very strict with quality, so it will be a great selection to choose from.”
