SPINNING a plate on a stick was just one of the skills youngsters have had fun learning.
A total of 35 children, aged between four and 10, enjoyed taking part in a circus skills session at Rutland County Museum on Wednesday last week.
The session, which also included circus themed stories and crafts, was organised by staff at Oakham Library to promote its summer reading programme. Children who complete the challenge of reading six books will get a circus themed prize.
On Wednesday, youngsters enjoyed juggling and making clown faces. A similar session will be held at Ryhall Library on Friday next week.
