The team, who play at Milking Nook Drove in Bourne, received the £250 donation from the housebuilder recently which will now be used for purchasing new kit and training equipment.

The funding will also go towards a new minibus for the club to use when travelling to and from away matches.

Chris Greenwood, vice-captain of Bourne Rugby Club and project manager for Mulberry Homes, said: “I’m extremely grateful as it really helps the club function from minis rugby to senior rugby.

"Grassroots rugby clubs heavily depend on donations and this will help massively in the development of the club, helping purchase key training aids to use in sessions."
