Colin set for Florida after doctors give him the all clear to fly

Have your say

A TERMINALLY ill father has been given the all clear to fly with his family on a dream holiday to Florida.

Colin Ketteringham 50, of Daisy Court, Bourne, suffers from the degenerative condition multiple system atrophy and has been told he has less than three years to live.

He launched an appeal to raise money to take his family on holiday to Walt Disney World in Florida and with the help of individuals, businesses and organisations he reached his target.

Colin underwent a high-risk operation last month to relieve some of his pain.

And this week he was given the all clear by doctors to fly out to Florida on October 4.

On Wednesday, Colin posted a message on his Twitter account saying: “Been to hospital today, I have been declared fit to fly now, roll on 4th October. Florida here we come!!!!”
