Stamford College and the nearby Stamford Leisure Pool have been evacuated this afternoon (Friday, June 10) after reports of a bomb threat,

Police were called to reports of a bomb threat at the college in Drift Road at 2.40pm.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers conducted swift investigations, and although we deemed this not to be a genuine threat, we have been vigilant to ensure everyone’s safety.

"This has included officers conducting a search of the area and local patrols. The college was evacuated as a precaution."
