Funhouse Comedy Club to raise a laugh during gigs at Easton-on-the-Hill and Grainstore Brewery in Oakham with Pete Firman and Geoff Norcott headlining

A series of Funhouse Comedy Clubs are set to raise a laugh during January.

Funhouse Comedy Club will be hosted throughout the month.

The Blue Bell in High Street, Easton-on-the-Hill, will be hosting Paddy Lennox, El Baldiniho and Edd Hedges on Wednesday, January 26. Doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 8pm.

The evening will be compered by Jack Campbell.

The following day, on Thursday, January 27, at the Grainstore Brewery in Station Approach, Oakham, Pete Firman and Geoff Norcott will feature, along with Eddy Brimson. James Cook will compere the event.

Topping the bill is comedy/magician and writer Pete Firman who has appeared on BBC One’s The Magicians and performed at The Edinburgh Festival 10 years in a row, toured the UK with six solo theatre shows and is recognised as the UK’s leading comedian/magician.

Opening the night will be the energetic and satirical writer and comedian Geoff Norcott who recently won a BBC Radio and Music Award for Best Comedy Production. He delivers an eclectic mix of dark material, impressions and politics with a confident smile and optimism. His shrewd standpoints on life make his anecdotes extremely captivating and leave his audiences wanting for more.

Also appearing is the appealing and gripping writer and comedian Eddy Brimson.

Compere for the night will be James Cook with his sharp tongue and dry sense of humour he previously worked as a presenter on commercial radio stations, went on air with A-ha and presented Lenny Henry with his ‘Walk of Fame’.

Tickets are £12 in advance. Doors open at 6.15pm, last orders for food at 7.15pm, with the show starting at 8pm.
