The first part of the evening held on January 29 featured the House Rock Competition which after some exhilarating performances, Ancaster were announced as the winners.

Afterwards six bands then performed in the charity rock concert.

This included two staff bands much to the many students delight, one consisting of Stamford High School staff members and one of staff members from Stamford School.

The event produced a fantastic turnout of pupils in Years 10 to 13 and raised a highly impressive £900 profit which was donated to #teamgeorge.

Deputy head of sixth form at Stamford School, Julia Fox, said: “There was a great atmosphere throughout the evening and the quality of the acts helped produce a very high standard of performance all round.”

The #teamgeorge campaign was set up to help George Robinson, a Stamford School pupil, who was seriously injured while playing rugby.
