A CHOIR entertained audiences at All Saints’ Church on Friday night during a power cut.

The William Jewell College Choir from Missouri, US, sang to a crowd at the church in All Saints’ Place, Stamford, until it became too dark for singers to read their music sheets.

The power cut meant the choir were unable to use the church organ for their show.

The Very Rev Mark Warrick, who attended the concert, said: “It was a very good concert despite there being no power.

“It wasn’t a bright day but they used all the light they could before it became too dark to see. But it was an excellent concert all the same.”

It is not yet known what caused the power cut.
