Covid-19 case at Charles Read Academy in Corby Glen and Kirkstone House School in Baston




Two village secondary schools have at least one confirmed case of coronavirus.

Lincolnshire County Council confirmed that there is a case at Charles Read Academy in Corby Glen and Kirkstone House School in Baston.

It comes as Bourne Academy also confirmed cases .

The local authority said the schools remained open and is taking action to limit the potential spread of the virus.

Andy Fox, consultant in public health, said: "As of this morning, Lincolnshire's Health Protection Team is currently working with 64 schools that have had confirmed cases of coronavirus.

"All schools are taking action to limit the potential spread of the virus, with some pupils and staff self-isolating as a precaution where necessary."

Schools locally with current confirmed cases as of today (Friday, October 16) are:

  • Billingborough Primary School (open)
  • Malcolm Sargent Primary School, Stamford (open)
  • Kirkstone House School, Baston (open)
  • Stamford Endowed Schools (open)
  • Market Deeping Community Primary (open)
  • Bourne Academy (open)
