A CELEBRATION was held to mark the 10th anniversary of a Baptist church.
Barnack Baptist Church opened its doors for services in 2002 and on Sunday, February 26, members gathered to mark the occasion.
A service of celebration and fellowship meal was held for all those involved with the church since its inception.
The church has held weekly services at Barnack Primary School’s hall, in School Road, Barnack, since 2002 and in 2008 it became an independent church when it was affiliated to the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
The church has since introduced a number of midweek activities including Bible study sessions, toddler groups and youth clubs.
The Rev Graham Dunn said: “It was a really good celebration that brought together the regular congregation and those who were involved in the early days. It was really nice to get everyone together.
“The church has a full spectrum of ages and it really reflects the make up of the village.
“It was a joy to look back on the 10 years and to get the photo album out and appreciate what we have done. Let’s hope we’ll all be here to celebrate 20 years.”
